About a year ago, I met Anthony Lobosco, President of the Fordham Entrepreneur Society, at a S.C.O.R.E. presentation held at Fordham University.  In attendance were about 40 students, all eager to start their own business.  There was a lot of interest, but a lot of doubt.  Incidentally, the service that S.C.O.R.E. offers is free.  I was impressed with Anthony because he had the guts to introduce something brand new and we all know new is something that is hard to sell even if it is free.  I am a counselor at S.C.O.R.E. and introduced S.C.O.R.E. to Fordham.  That was easier.

Since that first time meeting, Anthony has arranged many events including a cocktail party and he was gracious enough to invite me.  I met his wife and parents.  They were all delightful.I have been a volunteer counselor at S.C.O.R.E. NYC, which is a not-for-profit organization and a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Association for the past two years.I have screened many applicants who wish to start a new business or to grow an exciting one.  I have examined business plans for manufacturing, wholesale, retail, e-commerce, patents, not-for-profit and more.  I have guided applicants to modify their business plans and access financial aid in order to successfully reach their goals. The best thing of all is that I established a branch at the Fordham Lincoln Center Campus with the aid of Richard Colombo, John Hotard and John Daly.  Later I met Anthony Lobosco and Andi Ehrenfeld, two A plusses!I have had several years as an entrepreneur.  I was the CEO of a corrugated cardboard box manufacturer.  I hold a patent for an industry specific fuel saver device and even have some retail experience.S.C.O.R.E. NYC has about 60 volunteer counselors with various expertise.Gerry FisherCounselor at S.C.O.R.E. NYC
